(Press-kit bio/ Long) Drawing from a childhood full of rich and diverse experience, a gift for poetry and prose, and an un-common talent whether playing the piano or guitar, Danielle Vaughn creates a truly unforgettable experience through story and song as an engaging performer. With her style ranging from blissful folk to bluesy jazz, Danielle creates an atmosphere of appreciation for singing and song-writing at it's very finest. Currently, Danielle holds an Arts degree with an emphasis on classical piano, where she studied intensively with a performing scholarship for 2 years. She continues to study jazz guitar and collaberates with music producers, artists, and other songwriters and musicians. www.daniellevaughn.com (Press-kit bio/ Short) If you were to invite Ella Fitzgerald, Patsy Cline, Aretha Franklin, Emmylou Harris, and Danielle Vaughn to a tea party in the middle of a deep, dark, enchanted wood, and if you were to slip into Danielle's tea (herbal of course) a blend of Ella's favorite licorice root, Patsy's pure honey, Aretha's spice, and top it off with Emmylou's cream, you'd have one delicious concoction of pure enjoyment to be savored over long discussions of the frivolities of the pursuit of art, the whimsy of the Grand Universe, the beauties of the human spirit, the flight patterns of bumble bees, the healing power of juicy yoga, the crazy state of the Union, whether or not run on sentences are a sin, Rumi's poems, and the ecstasy of a good kiss..... And what does Danielle bring to the party, you ask? Deep, dark chocolate from France. Said Cheshire the cat to the Mad Hatter, "I'll have what she's having......." * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Beginnings: Born in Ogden, Utah to an Olympic hopeful, freestyle-skiing father and a Beatles-loving, Woodstock-attending mother, Danielle was genetically predisposed to allow her creative dreams to take flight. At the age of 3, shortly after her mother's untimely death, Danielle was adopted by her uncle and aunt, to be raised with a Navajo brother and a Korean sister. Occasionally, an artist emerges whose inner soul so apparently transcends their work that the recipient experiences a sincere desire to embrace that person in gratitude for the gifts of their talent. Danielle Vaughn is the embodiment of that type of artist. Just like a life of true suffering is often the benchmark for a musician’s success in the realm of classic blues, Danielle’s life journey through both joy and pain has colored the unpredictable yet surprising bounty of her experiences. Raised in the immense beauty of Utah where family values dominate the landscape, her non-traditional upbringing, as a result of early-age loss, initiated her personal foray into the discovery of the omnipotent forces of connections and relationships. While at first her gifts were apparent in classical piano, her personal voice was yearning to be heard. After many years of study in the traditional works of Beethoven, Bach, and Chopin she felt inspired not only to acknowledge, but to listen to her own inner song. Her journey into the healing powers of yoga paralleled her need to express her gratitude through music and song. Blessed now with a loving husband and three adorable children, she lives amidst a landscape beyond compare in the foothills of Huntsville Utah. Her music echoes and embraces all that is good in life. Sweetness emanates from her music -- the songs set free for all to receive -- like honey from a bee. While her compositions are wholly from the heart, she has derived much inspiration from the likes of Patty Griffin, Eva Cassidy and Ella Fitzgerald.

"What list of musical gift suggestions would be complete without at least one holiday record? The pick this year is by Eden's Vaughn, featuring production by Mark Stephenson. Vaughn, who arranged the songs, mixes traditional Christmas tunes like the ancient "O Come, O Come Immanuel" with her own Christmas songs and medleys of traditional tunes. Vaughn sings and plays piano and acoustic guitar. She is accompanied by Michael Dowdle on guitars, mandolin, keyboards and acoustic guitar; Shawn Miller on guitars and keyboards; and D. Scott Williams on guitar, upright bass and harmonica. The accompaniment ranges from the gentlest piano riff on the hymns to acoustic 12-bar-style blues on "Christmastime Blues." But even when "Noel's" tone turns playful, the message stays sacred. This album goes down easy, a fine choice for a tree-trimming or present-wrapping party. Vaughn will tickle the fancy of fans of fine female vocalists, and also people who love music with holy holiday spirit." -Linda East Brady, Standard Examiner
