If you’ve gone through a soul shift before (and I know you have), then you’ve felt divine chaos come barreling through your life.
As a kid when something would go wrong at home – like mom’s car would break down in the heat of a Texas summer with three kids sweating and crying – mom would face it head on.
She didn’t flinch at the discomfort, but instead she kept moving through the storm like a kung fu fighter in a wrestling match.
This is what a soul shift can feel like.
A soul shift can feel like a big tornado that rips through your life lifting everything that you’ve grown comfortable with up and out of your personal orbit.
With it all swirling around you, typically what doesn’t get thrown to the next zip code is exactly what you’ll need when the storm is over.
And naturally, as divine order would have it, those things that have vanished in the storm can be things you cling to the most. A soul shift is rarely a walk in the park.
The divine chaos that rips through your life (and mine too, no one is immune), wreaks havoc on your confidence and causes you to question everything.
Which is exactly its purpose.
As it turns out, divine chaos is a bridge to your new level of divine order.
Let me explain.
As you grow and evolve in your life, (this is what we do here on this earth school) you are constantly expanding and transforming. And some choose to do so with more focus, steadfastness and intention. (Chances are this is you!)
Which is the perfect recipe for some big ass storms.
This isn’t to deter you or your growth, but instead I want to help you notice if you’re in a storm so you can stay with it. The biggest most soul-enhancing benefits of a storm happen to come from the pain.
You’re not broken, you’re soul shifting.
What the hell is a soul shift?
As you work to live a more congruent life – one that has your heart, mind and soul in alignment, then anything that does not line up with your new level of awareness gets thrown off of the merry-go-round.
This is where it feels painful, shocking and upsetting. Almost like you didn’t see it coming.
A soul shift begins on the invisible, energetic level of your life before it comes into your 3-D world.
Just like a storm starts brewing from unstable air, the storm of your life brews in unstable energy. Or, energy that is no longer in congruence.
While it may seem like it’s out of the blue, you’ve been preparing for your storm.
Don’t duck and cover, but stand in the middle of it and watch. Your life is taking new form.
This is when you’ve got to stay steadfast on how you want your new life to look. While the debris is being picked up and thrown away, keep your focus on what seeds you want to plant. What will grow on the new landscape of your life?
Mourn, grieve, get angry, let your emotions run through you like water through a garden hose. This is what nourishes your new seeds – your new life.
The storm isn’t the end, but a new beginning. Many of us stay so fixated on outrunning the storm that it can’t do it’s work to completion. Sit with the storm.
Don’t ruminate or wallow, but sit with reverence. This is your storm that’s lifting off all the things (and people, situations, jobs, etc.) that aren’t in your best and highest level of congruence.
This storm was made for you and your highest good.
I know the last thing you want to hear when you are in the eye of a storm is to have gratitude, so I won’t say it.
What I will say is listen to the whispers of your mind. Make sure they aren’t telling you that you’re broken, undeserving or unworthy. It’s the furthest thing from the truth. These are also thoughts that are ready to be lifted up and out of your life.
Instead, nurture yourself. Give yourself disaster relief. Love yourself more. Replace those thoughts with kind, loving thoughts. Ask for help and be willing to receive. And remember, this too, shall pass.
If you’re awake and aware during your storm, not only will it pass, but it will leave you with a life that looks more like the real you. I promise.
You’re a fierce, soul-shifting, storm chaser badass. Remember this. This is the storm you asked for – look it in the eye and don’t back down. You got this.
If you know someone who’s in the storm of their life, share this with them. They may need a reminder of their fierce soul qualities. We all do at some point.
And if it’s you that’s currently in the storm, know that you are inspiring many with your fierce determination to stay in your heart. It’s miraculous.
I always love hearing from you. Be sure and drop a line below!
With so much love,
