We live in a 3D world that reflects back to us what we are feeling.
The saying goes: you don’t get what you want, you get what you feel.
And it’s true.
This is why it’s so crucial to pay attention to how you really feel.
People Pleasers Take the Crumbs
As a recovering people pleaser addict, I was the queen of stuffing down how I really felt to make sure everyone else was taken care of. And all that really did was draw me further away from the life I wanted to create. I was left with the crumbs when I wanted the cake.
Because I wasn’t being honest with my feelings, I couldn’t get clear with my intentions.
And every deliberate manifestation starts with a clear intention.
Cake or Crumbs?
Your intention is your laser sharp focus. It’s the idea of the cake before it’s mixed, baked and ready to eat. It’s the dream of how it will taste before you’ve got any on your fork.
How you feel about your future is the future life brings you.
If you can taste the cake in your mouth and be grateful for your cake before the oven timer has gone off, the cake is yours.
But if you complain about how long it takes to bake, stomp around the kitchen and get pissed off at the cake, chances are that cake’s gonna burn and your gonna be one pissed off puppy. Without a cake.
If you’re still with me on this cake analogy, then I bet you can also think of some times in your life when you’ve wanted something so bad it never happened. Or you gave up. Or you got it but is was really, really hard.
If how we feel is the direct indicator of what we create in our lives, then we know we don’t have to play by the old rules any more. Things don’t have to suck before they get better. Things can get better when we decide to feel better about the things.
We can have our cake and eat it too!
The Secret Ingredient to Getting the Cake
What’s the first thing you do when you get something you want?
You give thanks! You’re grateful.
Gratitude is the key ingredient in your future cake. Gratitude opens the heart and sets your future in motion for you. With an open heart you open the floodgates for all the cakes to show up. It’s a cake smorgasbord.
Gratitude is the gateway to a sweet, enchanted life.
It’s the momentum of your energy that allows or disallows what you want in your life to come to fruition. You’ve got to feel your way into the future you want so it can show up.
Maybe you want a simpler life, more solid relationships, a hot lover to call your own, adventurous experiences, a more fulfilling career, or to start a non-profit. Whatever your cake is, gratitude is the secret ingredient to allowing it in.
The longer you linger in gratitude, the broader the super-highway is for your abundant, brilliant life to come into form.
Raising the Gratitude Bar
Energy is infectious. When you get in a group of other authentically grateful people then your heart flies open even more. When you’re dialed into gratitude you feel whole, complete and don’t need another thing to make you content. Anything more is the icing on the cake. 😉
And the funny part is, this is when the cake appears. When you’re so busy enjoying life and being yourself that you forgot the cake was even baking. Then DING – it’s hot and ready for you.
So, what about you? Is it crumbs or cake? Are you pushing too hard or feeling your future to you? What are the countless things you’re grateful for?
Are You Sharing Your Gratitude?
This Saturday we are harvesting the good in our lives and taking a ride on the gratitude train. If you’re local, join us for this month’s live session and meditation.
It’s not a kumbaya session, despite my very eager blog post today. It will be a laid back, chill night together with some twinkling lights, authentic gratitude and shared conversations that always, always lead to a-ha moments, laughter and big love. My cake is time shared like this. 🙂
I’ve pushed the time back a bit so we can harness the energy of the moon and light up our intentions with its glow. We’ll bask in gratitude and seal the deal with a guided meditation.
Grab a friend or two and register for this month’s session here:
You are worthy of the cake. If you’ve been settling for crumbs you can stop now. It’s not worth it. You were born for cake. Enjoy every last bite!
Let us all eat cake!
With lots of love,
