Hello Beautiful Souls,
What a time we are living in. New words and phrases have popped into our vocabulary – social distancing, pandemic, flatten the curve. The lives we lead have been rerouted.
While we hunker down in the privacy of our homes, we are also connecting so deeply on a global level. We are having a global experience. Somehow the person on the other side of the world can relate to you and your experience, right now.
This is no doubt a big message that we are all connected and what we do matters to the world. Each one of us contributes to the world in a very impactful way. Our thoughts, words, actions and in times like now – our inaction – has immense effect on the bigger whole.
We are all being asked to stay home. This time to pause can be seen as a gift when we can accept it as such. A reprieve from the day-to-day grind where choices seem to be made for us in a life lived rushed and hurried.
Yes – it is inconvenient to say the least. But it is what is, for now. So let’s roll with it. Change opens us open to greater things.
Now, we get to pause. We get that time we were so hungry for. Time so many were asking for.
Time to go in. Reflect. Question. Re-evaluate. Decipher. Open up to a deeper sense of who we truly are and make new.
The planet and the pause
Reports from Italy share that dolphins are now swimming throughout the Venice Canals. You can see through the water that is now crystal clear. Swans are visiting again.
The air in China has been cleared. The lungs of our planet – the Amazon – is breathing in clearer air. The earth – our earth – is responding to the pause in vibrant ways.
Connecting in a deeper way
Perhaps this pause is the break we needed to quench the thirst of our exhaustion. The pushing and tugging can cease. We can rest and summon compassion and love in newer ways.
We can hold our health care workers in our hearts as they aide the sick. We can send our deepest love to those ravaged with fear right now. We can be the witness to our own fear without becoming it. We can be available for inspired action and act when we feel called. We can continue to aide and offer help to those who need it most. Including those who are triggered by fear and anxiety in these times. We can show them compassion and understanding. We can let them know they are not alone. None of us are alone. We are each a vitally important part of the greater whole.
The pause is softening the airwaves so we can hear what we were too busy to hear before. We can listen now.
We can answer a higher call
As beings on this earth, we must remember we are not separate from nature, we are nature. There is a force within us all that connects, joins and unites us with all living things.
This experience can be a reminder that we are all connected. And at any given moment we can choose to sew seeds of love or seeds of fear. With our thoughts, beliefs and actions – the choices we make are mighty powerful.
As we navigate these new times, I encourage you to give yourself time to devotion. To root into your heart and lean in to a greater sense of connection. To recognize that you are a vitally important part of this world – an essential part.
Use this time to notice what taking care of you means. What taking care of your family means. What taking care of your spirit means. Use this time to open, expand, soften and align.

In the community I live in I have seen a surge of kindness. Strangers offering help. Teachers shifting to online school with only heartwarming and encouraging emails being sent. Businesses offering help. A restaurant was even giving away pizzas today. A truly remarkable way to deal with a crisis. It’s this kind of goodness that we are truly made of.
Keep shining your light – it’s needed more now than ever!
All my love,
